What a team!…and they have been for 12 years. While working side-by-side at another salon, they decided to strike out on their own in 1998. They quickly outgrew their small quarters out west and opened a “new and improved” Scissori’s Salon and Skincare Loft located within that “crazy shaped building” on the corner of 120th and Blondo. Little did they realize how perfectly the architecture melded with the eclectic personality of their salon.

Both owners graduated from the Capital School of Cosmetology – Kris almost 30 years ago and Tina just over 20 years ago. Scissori's stylists travel to national seminars to learn the latest techniques in color and styling. Some of the places include New York, Spain, Baltimore and Vancouver.

Not only did they expand their space, they expanded their services. It wasn’t long before they knew they wanted a salon that could serve the entire family. Children are welcome clients. Men feel right at home—whether they are getting their hair cut or a massage. Whether it is that special style for Prom or a Bridal Party, Scissori’s delivers with creativity and affordability.

Tina and Kris will be the first people to tell you that beauty truly is only skin deep…true beauty comes from within…sparked by laughter and a sense of well being. At Scissori’s we know we can make you beautiful on the outside…but we promise to go the extra mile to ensure you enjoy your time at Scissori’s and leave feeling pretty on the inside, too.
